Hapinoy rolls out project in Pateros before closing 2017

In early December, Hapinoy engaged with more than 200 sari-sari store owners in the municipality of Pateros as part of its goal of reaching more microentrepreneurs in Metro Manila. These stores were surveyed using the Hapinoy growth-oriented scorecard, a tool for recruitment developed through the partnership with Mastercard and Grameen Foundation.

The recruitment is for the onset of HapiSkwela’s BasiKaalaman Training Program, which will be launched on the first quarter of 2018. This training program aim to equip microentrepreneurs with tools, skills and information about business management, basic financial literacy and business resiliency.

This was the second time Hapinoy used the growth-oriented scorecard to identify potential partner stores for specific projects. The pilot implementation was done in Leyte and Samar, where thousands of stores were approached and surveyed.
