Comeback is Real: DIYskarte and Hapinoy TV Live Shows are back!

DIYskarte is back! Now a standalone show, “DIYskarte: Dagdag Income, Yours!” aired last July 20, 2023 on the Hapinoy Facebook page and for the first time, simultaneously livestreamed it in Hapinoy TV YouTube channel. Highlighting additional livelihood ideas and opportunities, this show invites sari-sari store owners to showcase their own recipes, handmade crafts, and other products available in their stores for extra income. 

Hosted by sari-sari store owners and Hapinoy’s very own Hapinoy Negosyante Amary Lee and Roma Tejero, the first episode featured Rodora Capiral, also a Hapinoy Negosyante from Malabon who shared her Pancit Bihon recipe. During the show, she demonstrated how to cook her recipe and shared the capital, selling price, and potential income of selling this meal as an additional product for her customers to avail. 

As one of the segments in the previous season of Hapinoy TV Live (HTL), DIYskarte serves as a platform created by and with sari-sari store owners, for sari-sari store owners. It was relaunched this July as a standalone show with Hapinoy Negosyante themselves facilitating and sharing stories with their fellow microentrepreneurs online, as well as gaining insights from their shared discussions. By empowering sari-sari store owners, this show promotes the skills and expertise of Pinoy negosyante showcased through their chosen business diskarte.  

Transitioning from co-hosts of Jeffrey Magalang and Ley Purawan during the previous season of Hapinoy TV Live to hosts themselves now, Amary and Roma shared that DIYskarte gives a stage for them to further hone their hosting skills. “Nakakaba kasi iba kapag kasama si Sir Ley at Sir Jeff, kasi masasalo kami kapag kinabahan kami. First time lang din naman namin ni Roma mag-host,” Lee shared. Despite their worries, they are still excited to be a part of the show. “Pero kahit po ganoon, enjoy pa rin po siya. Kasi nakasanayan na rin namin dahil ang mga kaharap namin ay mga kapwa din po namin negosyante,” Tejero added.

This is the first time that Roma and I will host,” Lee shared. Despite their worries, they are still excited to be a part of the show. “But even though we’re (worried), we still enjoy hosting. We eventually got used to it  because we are also presenting in front of our fellow entrepreneurs,” Tejero added.) 

DIYskarte does not only give ideas on additional business opportunities, but it also serves as a platform where viewers can earn Hapi Points. Hapi Points are the currency for Hapinoy Rewards, a program that allows sari-sari store owners to redeem prizes such as vouchers, cash, and more. 

Both Hapinoy TV Live and DIYskarte are available for sari-sari store owners on Hapinoy Facebook Page. Running for three years now since being launched during the COVID-19 lockdown last 2020, HTL, along with DIYskarte, will continue to showcase entertainment value while imparting knowledge through discussions with sari-sari store owners for them to know more about microentrepreneurship.  

Hapinoy TV Live first episode was aired last July 27, 2023. A new segment named “G Ka Na Ba? HTL Edition” features guest ka-haps going head-to-head for exciting prizes while answering questions about sari-sari store, business management, and Hapinoy. Still catering to sari-sari store owners all over the country, online viewers can also join the game and win prizes.
